Surveys suggest that about 75% of women develop thrush or a yeast infection (vulvovaginal candidiasis) at least once in their lifetime. The yeast organism, Candida Albicans is primarily responsible for these infections and is caused by dysbiosis, a condition that occurs when there is an imbalance of good to bad bacteria in the body.
